Located just steps from the Pacific Ocean in the beautiful sunshine of La Jolla, California, Darlington House provides an idyllic backdrop for any couple. The historic home is a melting pot of architectural styles from all over the world and offers several options for your ceremony and reception. Your guests will enjoy exploring the nooks and crannies of the fully furnished first floor and inviting patios and gardens. Darlington House only holds one event each day, so your magical day can deserve all of the special attention it deserves.

The Andalusian Patio features stunning Roman arches as well as benches and flooring made with Azulejo tile. Modeled after the style of Southern Spain and opening to the Rose Garden, the Andalusian Patio seats 80 guests for a ceremony surrounded by charm.

The Egyptian Patio also opens to the Rose Garden and dazzles with a fountain and colorful classic Egyptian tile lining the pool. With lush surrounding greenery and bricked walkways, the Egyptian Patio seats 125 guests for a ceremony surrounding the fountain.

The Rose Garden is a fragrant floral utopia that surrounds guests with roses and azaleas. This open-air space seats 200 guests theater style and 200 at tables.

The Library features dark wooden bookcases, a Moroccan fireplace and a gorgeous staircase that invokes Moorish architecture. Perfect for intimate events, the Library seats 50 guests theater style for an intimate ceremony or 32 guests at tables for a cozy reception. At larger events, most clients utilize the library for a unique bar setting.

The Living and Dining Rooms feature plush armchairs, a warm fireplace, a stunning dining table and double French doors that lead to the Egyptian Patio. Up to 60 guests can be seated theater style, or 50 can be accommodated at tables.

Upstairs Suites offer a serene and generous space for your entire bridal party to relax before your ceremony. Sunlight floods the wallpapered rooms, making the suites a photographer’s dream.
